November Barn/Tag Sale

I was at the Stylish Patina Barn late tonight, but finally got nearly everything tagged, the decorations up and the furniture in place. Had to call it quits at 8:00 cuz I was getting cold and hungry.
We're just one booth of many, open this weekend, three fabulous days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 10-5 each day.
4051 Standford Ct., near Frederick, Maryland

I've had these bingo card for years and finally got crafty with them and packaged them up with cardboard, holiday material and greens.

This is the overall look of the booth...holiday red accents. So cheery!

My obsession with milk glass continues!

Krista's upcycled handwarmers spilling from an old galvanized pail.

I can't tell you how much fun I had making these little vintage vignettes. So darn cute!

I've also put my felting machine to work, embellishing away late into the night to make these wintery pins. Put some sparkle in your holidays!

The Barn is open this weekend....hope to see you there. I'll be working on Sunday, 10-5.

Movin' On In!

Chirp opened up at Ginger & Spice today. Krista and I got up early, loaded up two trucks, hauled furniture to the Styplish Patina barn, mixed it all up a bit and hauled different furniture to Ginger & Spice. Setting up two spaces at the same time and putting touches of the holidays on both, takes a bit of imagination.

I found this window (along with a couple others) at our local dump. I have some ideas for the other two, but this one was the easiest.

Backing up to us is R&M Vintage. Ashley is amazing. She finds unusual items and has such an eye for putting them together.

Ginger & Spice has so much to offer for your home. Come on out and see us! Hours: Wed-Saturday, 10-5, Sunday 12-5.
Krista and I will be setting up at the barn in the next couple days so will be updating soon.

Ma & Pa Chairs

We finished this duo last week. We call them the 'Ma & Pa' chairs.

Krista found this awesome fabric. Very Chirpy, I'd say.

A great pair for your winter decorating.

And snuggle up with your cup of hot tea and read a book. This tray makes it so easy. It raises up for holding your Kindle too.

Working like crazy getting ready to move into Giber & Spice and redo the booth at Stylish Patina.

Scored this lovely piece at a school sale. Love the lines. Gotta get to this babe soon.

Krista found this Waterfall deco set awhile back.

....in progress

finished in a pale grey.

The set (dresser, vanity and side table) is on sale for $400 total. Let us know if you want it. We can help with delivery.

Spools and Spindles

Whenever we go tour unfinished stash in the stalls of the horse barn, we see a sea of chairs.

They're just so darn cute and utilitarian and easy to move and we love to come up with different colors for them. The above one is a very nice light blue. Let us know if you want a cute blue chair.

If you're feeling a bit bolder with your color these days, try this coral duo. Can't you just see these brightening up a corner of a room in your house on these dark winter days to come? Cheer up with coral!

Or go totally curvy with this charming little table and chair. Love those curves on the table and the spindly legs on the chair. Nice details.

Krista finished off the chair with a vintage type fabric. These would look so cute in a little girl's room!

For a boy's room, we have this retro little number. Finished in a light blue with a teal accent background. I love the handle that came with it.

But what makes this piece special is this antique map. I found this large map book from the 20's at a yard sale years ago and am now using for crafts and furniture. If this doesn't sell, I'm keeping' it! One of my fave pieces.

This is a most unusual piece. When we bought it we thought it was a bedside table. But when looking at it, it is asymmetrical at the top. It's really the right hand part of a 3-piece vanity. We don't have the middle or the left pieces, but it can stand alone. Just use as a side table and it's good to go. Love the spool legs.

 See?! Isn't it great?!

This was such a blah end table. We jazzed it up with a two-tone in a grayish blue base with a silvery grey draw. We've heard so much about Oil Rubbed Bronze or ORB if you're in the know, that we had to use it on the handles.

Jury is out, and we like it! It's a black/brown/grey and is perfect for this Colonial type number. This is what we've actually completed, but there's plenty more that is real close...just a screw here or a touch up there, so stay tuned.
